Mother's day

QQ N1 student sing a song to all mothers! They are only 3 years old. When I asked them to say something to their mummy, they spontaneously sing this song!

On 15th of May morning, 21 families from QQ had gathered in Mengkuang Dam in the morning
to celebrate Mother's Day, Father's Day and Teacher's Day. All children were so excited as they can play games with their parents and picnic at Mengkuang Dam!

We started the day with morning exercise lead by Ms. Ng. Then, the parents were divided into three teams to play the game. In the game they had to make a bouquet of flower and write a poem to give to the teacher as teacher's day gift!

All children were having fun as they need to run up and down looking for the "material" and answering the questions in the list.

We can see all of them really sweat out! After one hour of running around, all of us were tired and hungry! Picnic time begins where all parents get a set of family meal which consist of friend rice, fried bihoon, fruits, curry chicken, sandwiches and fried chicken.

What a delicious meal after exercise! We can see parents and children sitting on the mat enjoying the food !

We end the day by giving away prizes to all participants and I can feel the parents and children are enjoyed themselves! What a special way of celebrating mother's day and teacher's day this year!

Today, 20 students of QQ have a happy get together with Penang handicapped children. The objective of the visit is to expose our students to children with multiple handicaps so that they will learn the value of gratitude and empathy.

The principal of the center, Puan Katijah gave us a warm welcome by serving us delicious Ayer Itam Fried bihun. Then, QQ children perform a dance for the handicapped children. We are surprised that the children there are so friendly and they joined us for the dance!

They even perform a dance "sugar" ! We can see they are happy meeting us and they have a short time interacting with our children.

Puan Katijah told us that the centre receives annual grant from Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat and depends largely on donation from private sector. We understand that they need to buy tables and chairs for the secondary students and need public donation.

QQ will help them by spreading the news to the parent and hopefully we can get some donation for the center!

During this holiday, we have a special class to teach children how to make cup cake! Wow! children were excited and surprised seeing what they mixed and put in the cup turn up to be their favourite cake with raisin!

That afternoon, they enjoyed the cake they made and at the same time brought home for their mummy to taste! Did you taste it?
