Is test important for preschool?

在QQ， 我们一向来都注重全方位成长，考试只是评估在班上的学习的吸收力，除了学术，幼儿时期，更重要的道德与品行。让孩子在幼儿园就学习一年级的课程，就是拔苗助长，对孩子根本没有好处，反而让他们失去了宝贵的时间去经历他们应该学习的东西！孩子在幼儿园可学到很多的东西，创意，自立，社交，解决问题等等，这都是让小孩们更有信心的上小学！家长们， 抽一些时间阅读以下的文章，考试真的很重要吗？

Children's ability to see greatly impacts their ability to learn. Screening is intended to facilitate early identification and diagnosis of disease and functional disorders. Hence, QQ has arranged Vista to do a vision Screening for our children on last Wednesday 23.3.2011.

From the screening results, we have found 6 children need to go for further evaluation! This is important as recently, we have a new student joining our Joy in Learning Primary after school care programme was diagnosed with lazy eyes. The doctor said that it started as early as 3 years old! Nobody including the parents noticed the child has vision problem. Imagine, how she learn all these years with poor vision and everything is blur. Until recently when she join our programme, we found that she has difficulty in copying words from board. So, we suggested to the mother to send her for checking then only we knew that she has developed lazy eye!

So parents, if you see your child straining his/her eyes while watching TV or play game, better bring them for check up!

Besides that, there is one student who request to do colour blind test and luckily, he is normal!

In QQ, we always care for your child and that's why this screening is arranged! We hope that parents will appreciate our effort! Special thanks also goes to Ms. Yap and Ms. Ching, optometrist from Vista who performed the screening for us!

Time really flies, one week holiday is going to end soon, let's see what QQ children is doing this week. Our teachers had planned cooking lesson for them, imagine making pizza, kek, ice cream " "potong" which we use to eat when we are small! Children have tremendous fun during this holiday!

So, QQ Children not only can read and write, they also can prepare simple meal!

Saving day

During saving day project, our children brought their coin box and keep in the school for three months. During this three months, they bring RM0.50 everyday to save. On 11.3.2011, we have calculated the money they save and the most consistent child will get a gift!

We also visited Eon bank last month to understand where the money is kept!
