Factory Visit

Holidays will be the most excited time for our QQ children as we have planned out many activities that can increase their knowledge and gain valuable experiences which they will not get it by just reading! This year, we went to Teck Aun Medical Factory and Penang Butterfly farm as our annual field trip.

Children were really excited when we arrived at the factory. The person in charged has shown us the laboratory that they use to test the medicine so that the quality was controlled. Our children have chance to look through the microscope and also the bacteria they grow on the patri dish. We also seen how they carried the drop test for the pill. Then, we were brought to the packing area, where the pill were fill in to the plastic tube. It was all done automatically. The machine will form, fill and seal the bag. Finally the pill were put in to the box manually. The medicine is for stomachache, minor diarrhoea, minor vomiting etc. Before we left, the management has given each of us a pack of the pill as souvenir.

On 19.5.09, we have prepared 30kg of fruits skin, 10kg of brown sugar and 100 liter of water to make the enzyme. This is one of our project to save the earth. As we all know, the fruits skin are waste and if we just throw away, it was rubbish. By using them to make enzyme, we can reduce the waste and at the same time the end product-enzyme can be used as dish cleaner, natural insecticide, neutralize the pesticide in the vegetable by soaking the in the enzyme solution for 45 minutes.

Hence, our teachers has collected the fruits skin such as pineapple skin, orange skin and lemon skin to make the enzyme. The correct proportion is :

Fruits skin 1

Brown sugar 3

Water 10

All children were gathered in the lobby on that day to see the process of making the enzyme. Some are also involved in stirring the mixture. We have to keep the mixture for 3 months to produce the enzyme. So, we have to wait until 18.8.09 !

Wesak Day Performance

QQ Students dance happily on the stage!

QQ students are invited to perform a dance during Wesak Day Celebration in Kulim Buddhist Society. We sent 8 students to perform a dance name "Stupid Cupid". Our children are so energitic and dance lively on the stage. All this performance can expose our children to stage performance and also gain self-confidence.

1st International Ballroom Dance Competition

QQ Angels won the first runners up in Bellydance Junior group in the 1st International ballroom dance competition help in Penang on 2nd of May 2009. Our students Sean Lim, Hwan Minn, Yi Ern, Yi Ying and Xin Yan were the youngest in the group performed steadily and professionally. Well done!
