How to preserve fruits/vegetable in the fridge

Vegetable looks fresh after 5 days storage.
Carrots after 7 days storage.
Tips to preserve your fruits and vegetables in the fridge!!!

In conjunction with our recycle campaign, I would like to share a good idea to save some unwanted resource which most people would throw them away without a second thought.
Here is the kind of aluminium coated plastic bag from quaker. You can use any other aluminium coated bag such as milk powder and Milo bag . Keep you vegetable in this bag and keep in the fridge, you can see the vegetable is still very fresh after one week!

Cute Talk

Last week, during the assambly, I explained to our children about " What is recycling". The first day I explained to them " Reuse" and the second day on "Reduce". When explaining " Reduce", I told children not to buy unnecessary toys, things we do not need we should not buy. We must reduce all the waste material. After the assambly, when everybody was about to went back to the class, Jonathan (3 years old ) came to me and said, "Teacher Tong, my mummy like to buy many things loh".

I was surprised and happy as he can understand the message I tried to convey in the assambly! Parents, please try to reduce buying unnecessary things !!

Nature Walk

Wah! there are many coconuts!
Mango tree, did you know how the leaves look like?
It is rambutan season now, you can see red rambutan every where.

The banana is so big! can we touch?

In conjuction with QQ Recyling Campaign, we have brought our K2 students for a nature walk in our Taman recently. We taught the children different type of leaves, local fruits tree and let they collect leaves. Everybody enjoyed the walk very much!

Parents, can you remember when was the last time you walk with your kids in the park?
